For Georgia’s 6th Congressional District Democrats it’s all over but the crying. Their multi-million-dollar-backed candidate 30-year-old political novice Jon Ossoff lost to Republican veteran Karen Handel by 3.8 percentage points. She will become Georgia’s first Republican woman elected to the U.S. House of Representatives and in doing so she vows to work with President Donald Trump.
On Tuesday night the expressions on the faces of mainstream media news anchors reporting Ossoff’s loss were very similar to when Democrat Hillary Clinton lost to President Trump last November. It was obvious to see their frowns and expressions of disbelief over Handel’s win. Political polls predicting an Ossoff win were wrong … again.
A similar U.S. House race in South Carolina’s 5th Congressional District on Tuesday — to replace a presidential cabinet nominee — also produced a Republican winner making it five congressional Republican wins for President Trump in Montana, Kansas, Minnesota, Georgia and South Carolina. Democrats from coast to coast had invested so heavily in the Georgia special election they made it the most expensive House race in history with about $50 million being spent by both sides.
President Trump wasted no time in basking in the glory of repeated Republican congressional wins. During a packed and enthusiastic political rally Wednesday night in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, President Trump spoke for more than an hour before 8,600 supporters at U.S. Cellular Arena.
“You voted to put America first and since the election I have put America first,” Trump said. “The people are the rulers of this country once again.”
The bottom line here is that voters are not buying into the Democrat’s constant and relentless attacks upon President Trump and his ‘America First’ agenda. Only 16 months down the road are the 2018 mid-term national elections in which all 435 members of the U.S. House are up for re-election including those that won special elections since President Trump took office in January.
Of course the Democrats hope to regain control of the U.S. House and U.S. Senate during the mid-terms, but those dreams are impossible if Democrats cannot flip Republican strongholds like Georgia’s 6th Congressional District, a seat held in Republican control since 1979.
Media interviews after the Georgia election with Handel, Ossoff and their supporters clearly show that Handel won for two main reasons: Ossoff was highly criticized for not living within the 6th District and the recent assassination attempt against Republican congressman during a charity baseball game practice that left House Majority Whip Steve Scalise critically injured and the assailant dead. This politically-motivated shooting motivated 6th District and South Carolina Republicans to get out the vote and claim Republican victories sending a message that the Democrats are in deep trouble as a political party.
The Democrats are doing everything they can to disrupt and delay anything President Trump attempts to do in Congress with healthcare, tax reform, immigration and national security but obviously with the current special election score — President Trump 5, Democrats 0 — the voters are rejecting the Democrats who just spent millions upon millions of dollars to lose an election with everybody watching.
The Democrats are in too deep with their easy to see vicious hated of President Trump, his family, his staff and his cabinet. Mainstream media is also complicit in spreading and maintaining negative news about President Trump. The Senate and House intelligence
committee investigations into Russian campaign influence are going nowhere. Who knows what Special Counselor Robert Mueller and the FBI will come up with in their investigation into Russian meddling with the 2016 national election? After months and months of FBI investigations into this matter no evidence of any suspected collusion between the Trump campaign and Russians has surfaced. But the voters are buying none of this and they just proved that once again. The endless Democratic resistance to President Trump is sinking them further into the dark abyss of political insignificance.
The number of daily meetings between main stream media and the White House Press Office are way down and reporters are not happy with having restricted access to the President and his staff. But why feed a hostile press that keeps firing away the same questions over and over? The voters are seeing this continuing extreme-media bias against President Trump and they are revolting against the press and the liberal Democrats who have no central message other than to destroy President Trump and his ‘Agenda For America.’
In a recent interview on FOX News, presidential daughter Ivanka Trump said upon leaving New York and joining the White House staff she had no idea about the level of “viciousness” of Washington politics against her father.
The political hate, anger and violence now condoned by Democratic leaders and anti-Trump forces has got to stop. Democrats are in a heap of trouble. Responsible voters are concerned citizens seeing Democrats making America worse for everyone — especially themselves.
