New York, Dec 23 (EFE; odds by IDSca.com).– The Carolina Panthers have an NFL-best 14-0 record with two games remaining in the regular season, and they also lead the league with 10 players selected to the Pro Bowl.

Quarterback Cam Newton, considered a leading candidate to win the NFL Most Valuable Player Award, earned Pro Bowl honors for the third time in his career, while linebacker Thomas Davis and cornerback Josh Norman were among five Carolina players named for the first time.

The Panthers‘ seven other selections were center Ryan Kalil, who was chosen for the fifth time; linebacker Luke Kuechly; tight end Greg Olsen; fullback Mike Tolbert; running back Jonathan Stewart; guard Trai Turner; and defensive tackle Kawann Short.

The Seattle Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals and New England Patriots will each send seven players to Honolulu, while five Cincinnati Bengals players were chosen to play in that annual postseason showcase.

The Pro Bowl will be played on Jan. 31, a week before the Super Bowl. EFE

In Costa Rica, sportsbooks have been handling a lot of wagering action on the Panthers. According to leading Pay-Per-Head (PPH) provider IDSca.com, the Panthers were favorites to take Super Bowl 50 until their game against the New York Giants.

At this time, handicappers in Costa Rica put the Panthers at +400 odds to win the Super Bowl, one spot below the Patriots at +333. An interesting bet is whether the Panthers can replicate the 1972 perfect season by the Miami Dolphins; those odds are currently greater than +2000.
