The Ocaso Underground Music Festival will take place in Tamarindo, Guanacaste from January 4th to the 7th in three different venues with an impressive lineup of house and techno artists.

This is the second edition of this event, “Ocaso is a unique, fun and exciting concert, guaranteed to provide a safe respectful and beautiful experience for everyone. Our goal is to establish a cornerstone event, where DJ’s and fans from around the world can meld together to partake in the mystical energies generated by the forests of Costa Rica”, states the festival’s website.

The line-up includes international artists of the likes of Claptone, award winning German DJ who is known for his Masquerade theme events and considered one of the best in the techno and house genres; Clapton is a character, the artist’s identity is concealed behind a dazzling golden mask with a long beak swooped down like an inverted horn.

Doc Martin (Sublevel) West Coast house originator; Kenny Glasgow, Sacha Robotti, Huxley, Carlos Lio, Hector, Desert Hearts, Andy Clockwork, among others.

The Ocaso Underground Music Festival will feature more than 30 local and regional artists.

The event will begin on January 4th at The Crazy Monkey Bar (Vista Villas) with a Pool Party that will kick off at 12 p.m. and carry on through 7 p.m. the party continues then through 2:30 a.m. at the El BE- Beachfront Tamarindo, the official opening party presenting Sacha Robotti, Gene Farris, Josh Billings, Non Fiction, to name a few.

On Friday, January 5 another pool party at the The Crazy Monkey Bar will feature 9 artists; while at 7 p.m. this same day the party will be taken to La Senda, a magical place that promises a wonderful experience which will conclude with a surprise guest.

Saturday and Sunday at noon time pool parties will also be held at the same venue, on Saturday night the party is back at La Senda and the event will wrap up Sunday exactly where it started at The Crazy Monkey Bar.
