There were lots of losers with few winners these past weeks in ‘Politics in the USA.’ On everyone’s mind is the two-night display of weird Socialist Democratic policy goals proudly touted to the nation during the first Democratic debate held June 26-27 in Miami, Florida.

On the second night, an NBC moderator asked all 10 presidential candidates if they favored extending free healthcare benefits to the estimated 11-million illegals living in the USA and all 10 raised their hands in approval — all of them without dissent as the audience roared their approval.

Soon after President Donald Trump Tweeted from Japan’s G20 annual meeting of world leaders, “All Democrats raised their hands for giving millions of illegal aliens unlimited healthcare. How about taking care of American Citizens first!? That’s the end of that race!”

Providing taxpayer-funded universal healthcare to virtually everyone currently in the USA tops the wish list for the Democrats going into Campaign 2020. None of the Democrats can say exactly how this behemoth upon the economy – into the mega-trillions times 10 — would be paid for except by raising taxes for virtually everyone – individuals, small businesses and large corporations.

The Democrats – one-after-another – said they would universally cancel the Trump tax cuts responsible for today’s stock market highs, the roaring economy and record low unemployment rates. More people are working in 2019 and paying their fair share of taxes than ever before.

The Democrats also want to eliminate the healthcare insurance industry in the USA and force the people to accept Socialized healthcare. This debate will continue to ring out during Campaign 2020 and during the next scheduled 11 Democratic debates leading up to their nominating convention next year.

As far as who won this two-night debate, well … President Trump did. Some say U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) put on the best show by pretty much screaming her answers to questions and getting all emotional about her childhood growing up in California after school integration began. But it’s clear that former Vice President Joe Biden and U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) came across as old white guys all ready to check into the local nursing home.

“I am in Japan at the G20, representing our Country well, but I heard it was not a good day for Sleepy Joe or Crazy Bernie. One is exhausted, the other is nuts – so what’s the big deal?” – Tweeted President Trump.

The second Democratic debate sideshow occurred July 30-31 in Detroit, Michigan broadcast live from the Fox Theater to the nation by CNN.  The first two-night debate was limited to 20 candidates – 10 each night. The same format was expected in Detroit, according to US Presidential Election News. It is quite possible some of these candidates may drop out of the presidential race by the end of July.

But don’t expect U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, of Hawaii, to be among the quitters. If anything she distinguished herself during the second night by standing firm to the only negative question asked of any of the candidates. She was asked by a NBC moderator about some anti-gay statements she made years ago in her youth before her military service in Iraq, before her service as an officer in the Hawaiian National Guard Army and before her election to the U.S. House of Representatives. Her answer had compassion for the greater gay community and made the moderator seem small and disrespectful.

It is Gabbard that establishment Democrats fear the most. She is treated differently than all the other candidates. She is difficult to pigeonhole. She is mostly on the left, but sometimes she strolls into right field. It just might be her standing alongside President Trump during the first national debate of presidential contenders in 2020.

The Democratic leadership should warm up to Gabbard and listen closely to how she expresses her ideas about the future of the USA. She speaks a different language that mainstream Democrats do not really understand, but President Trump does and that’s why he wants to run against Sleepy Joe, Crazy Bernie or Pocahontas – anyone but feisty and smart Tulsi G.
