The Washington three-ring circus was in full swing last week with flames erupting from the U.S. Senate confirmation hearings for federal Judge Brett Kavanaugh, a questionable “Resistance” opinion piece in the New York Times and another new book entitled “Fear” by Bob Woodward of Washington Post – Watergate fame.

The Kavanaugh hearings have been turned into a sideshow worthy of the National Enquirer and not the least bit honorable for this highly-qualified candidate to the nation’s highest court. During the first days of the Senate Judiciary Committee hearings more than 100 loud and vocal disruptive outbursts came from protesters that led to more than 100 arrests by U.S. Capitol Police. Mainstream media was right there capturing images of the protesters being hauled out of the hearing room as they screamed “free speech.”

All of these disruptions are nothing more than distractions from the work at hand. Plus they are self-serving to the interests of those seeking to remove President Donald Trump from office. Not to mention that they are a waste of time, energy and resources because Kavanaugh will be the next U.S. Supreme Court Justice. Unless some unforeseen circumstance reveals itself in the next few weeks the 51 votes needed for confirmation are all but assured for Kavanaugh to be confirmed.

Breaking on Wednesday was the publication of an anonymous “Op-Ed” piece on the New York Times’ editorial page supposedly written by a senior White House official attempting to paint a picture of the current inner workings inside the Trump White House being highly critical of the president’s leadership style. The headline for this opinion piece read “I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration” and it begins with these words, “I work for the president but like-minded colleagues and I have vowed to thwart parts of his agenda and his worst inclinations.”

On Thursday morning mainstream media outlets of NBC, CBS, ABC and CNN all led their news reports with this “Op-Ed” piece treating it as 100-percent authentic just because the New York Times said they knew who the real source of the “Resistance” piece was.

The opinion piece began with an editor’s note that read, “The Times today is taking the rare step of publishing an anonymous Op-Ed essay. We have done so at the request of the author, a senior official in the Trump administration whose identity is known to us and whose job would be jeopardized by its disclosure. We believe publishing this essay anonymously is the only way to deliver an important perspective to our readers.”

It ended with another editor’s note that read, “The writer is a senior official in the Trump administration.” The very fact the New York Times editorial board and or the editorial page editor saw the need to say the same thing twice could lead one to think the whole piece is a clever fabrication. It contains no specifics only generalities designed to put the Trump administration on the defensive. It may have been written by a senior insider but then again it may have been written in the news rooms of the ultra-liberal, Trump-hating New York Times.

Wouldn’t you know the New York Times would release this suspicious “Op-Ed” just as ultra-liberal, Trump-hating Washington Post senior-editor Bob Woodward releases his latest anti-Trump book named “Fear” complete with a deep-red close-up cover photo of the president.

It’s all a set up folks – from Kavanaugh to anonymous writers to another fake book – all brought to you by the relentless far-left conspiracy of the Democrats and mainstream media working together with perhaps billionaire George Soros to derail President Trump. They are throwing all the mud they can at this president — but funny thing is none of it sticks — not on Teflon Don.
