If you need an excuse to get off your couch this weekend and out of the house, we leave you with some activities that are taking place this weekend in Costa Rica

Music:
4 Voices of Rock 90’s Edition Hard Rock Café: This Saturday, June 24 and Sunday, June 25 the Hard Rock Café is offering a rock concert with four of Costa Rica’s best voices, Gustavo Salazar, Kurt Dyer, Manuel Barrantes and Andrés Bustamante. This includes some of the most popular songs from the 90’s. The concert starts at 9 p.m. on Saturday and 6 p.m. on Sunday tickets have a cost of between ¢ 8,500.00 and ¢ 12,500.00 and can be purchased online through publitickets.com

Theater:
A Midsummer Night’s Dream: The last two presentations of William Shakespeare’s comedy can be seen at the National Theater in San José, Saturday, June 24 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, June 25 at 5 p.m. Prices go from ¢ 8,000.00 to ¢ 15,000.00 ( the play is in Spanish).

Festivals/Parades:
LGBTI Diversity March: Sunday, June 25, members of the LGBTI community and general public that wants to participate in support of the movement, will gather at Paseo Colón for the annual march to raise awareness about the importance of a more tolerant society and the recognition of the rights for the LGBTI community. The march begins at 12 noon.

Food/Gastronomy:
Gastronomy Festival at Parque Biarquira: The Parque de Food Trucks in Freses, Curridabat will have a Gastronomy Festival on Saturday, June 24 you can enjoy the food of La Ventanita and The Central Food Truck while on Sunday, June 25 the offer includes La Cebicheria and Fufo’s Dogs, starting at 12 p.m. and through 7:30 p.m.

Wine Town: This new wine bar just opened doors on June 17 at Escazú Village, it’s open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 m.n. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. They offer 40 different wines you can try by the glass and in general over 200 wines from all over the world you can enjoy along some delicious food.

Container Platz: This new “food court” opened up in Santa Ana recently, 250 meters north from Ceviche del Rey, the innovative concept presents restaurants setup in recycled containers, an open sitting area and live music create a very relaxing environment.
