That lone voice in the wilderness – Tim Allen’s ‘Last Man Standing’ — is returning to prime-time network television for the upcoming 2018-19 season on the Fox News Channel. In May 2017, ABC-TV cancelled the conservative comedian’s highly-rated, prime-time situation comedy because of backlash from liberal viewers and advertisers who criticized the show for being pro-conservative, pro-Republican and pro-Trump.

News reports say ABC-TV executives deny cancelling ‘Last Man Standing’ for political reasons but their explanations and excuses fell flat as Denny’s pancakes. The real reason is the parent company of ABC-TV – 20th Century Fox — could not stomach portraying President Donald Trump in any positive light and after six seasons Allen and his popular ‘Last Man Standing’ was gone – but not forgotten.

In countering the reaction of removing Allen and his show from the air, and possibly regain the ratings loss from ‘Last Man Standing,’ ABC-TV has brought back the once popular ‘Roseanne’ with the original cast that includes Roseanne Barr – a real-life Trump supporter — and the ever popular John Goodman. This was a surprising move on the part of ABC-TV, but as always the ratings eventually rule supreme because they determine advertising rates. ‘Roseanne’ has been a ratings bonanza for ABC-TV. The show is controversial and deals with political topics of the day like Trump, racism, foreigners and immigration, and fear of Muslims. On the new revival Barr is the same loudmouth she’s always been and Trump supporters are flocking to the show in droves because she speaks their language. However, ABC-TV is now getting blow back from the same liberal viewers, but so far their constant weeping and whining has been as fruitless as a banana tree at the South Pole. ‘Roseanne’ has been renewed for next season.

Comedian Allen, 64, has been around for a long time. His former popular comedy shows include ABC-TV’s ‘Home Improvement’ where he played Tim “The Tool-Man” Taylor with blonde bomb Pamela Anderson as his shop assistant. ‘Home Improvement’ was a long-running hit show popular with hard-working American men, and women, too. Everyone that watched this show loved seeing Anderson wearing a tool belt complete with a hammer, tape measure, pliers and screwdrivers.

Allen’s base of continuing popularity comes from shade-tree mechanics, hunters, fishermen, farmers, firefighters, cops, the military and all the proud shotgun-toting blue-collar rednecks from the way backs, hollers and boondocks of America – the same bunch of people that support President Trump and his ‘America First’ agenda.

When ‘Last Man Standing’ was cancelled many millions of Allen’s supporters petitioned to have the show reinstated and their pleas were heard and understood.

“Team Last Man Standing was in the sixth inning, ahead by four runs, stands were packed and then for no reason, they call off the game. It leaves you sitting in the dugout, holding a bat and puzzled,” said Allen in a Fox News interview. “Now we get the news from Fox that it’s time to get back out on that diamond – hell yes, I’m excited!

“… It’s the fans! I could not be more grateful for the fans who wrote petitions and kept up the passion and incredible support for the show.”

In ‘Last Man Standing,’ Allen starred and played a senior employee of a sporting goods store in Denver, married with three daughters as he interacts with his daughter’s boyfriends, his family, his neighbors, and his coworkers as he spills his conservative political views to just about everyone he comes in contact with, according to Wikipedia. Allen is genuinely funny and so is Barr — they both make you think while you’re laughing. They learned something from humorists and social commentators from the past — Mark Twain (1835-1910), Will Rogers (1879-1935), Johnny Carson (1925-2005) and George Carlin (1937-2008).

It’s good to see ‘Last Man Standing’ return as well as ‘Roseanne’ on a comeback. It’s kind of comical that liberal Democrats have no comparable popular comedians. Kathy Griffin is not popular, nor is Chelsea Handler. Imagine those two starring a sitcom in San Francisco as two lesbians organizing protests against President Trump wearing their pink vagina hats. Imagine late-night butt heads Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel starring in a sitcom playing U.S. Senators bashing Trump. Nothing any of them say or do is funny … nothing. They don’t even make you think while you’re not laughing.

These days the best day-time soap opera is the Trump Show. Everyday President Trump, 71, is maintaining a hellish schedule with the enthusiasm and energy of a young man. Everyday his detractors keep throwing rocks at him and his people — that so far are bouncing off or ricocheting back at them.

Trump haters are in a frenzy to end his presidency before he does any more good for the American worker, or advance world peace in the Korean peninsula and Israel.

On Monday, the new U.S. Embassy opened in Jerusalem. In the past, others presidents promised to do this, but it took President Trump to make it happen while the Democrats and mainstream media whine on-and-on about an aging porn star, shady attorneys and imaginary Russians. Now that’s the real soap opera.
