This is a list of photos that we at The Costa Rica Star feel should be retired and never again used by any Costa Rican tourism company. These photos below have been used over and over again, online and in print advertising for many years, often without the approval or consent of the copyright holder to the photo.

It’s time that tourism operators and businesses spend some money to get new photos and content developed. We will refer to this as the “deadpool” of photos to never again be used here in Costa Rica.

If you see anyone using these photos in Costa Rican tourism, send them this article link and nominate them for the laziest advertising in Costa Rica award for being boring and recycling photos year after year.
