NEEDHAM, Mass., March 1, 2016TripAdvisor®, the travel planning and booking site, today announced its Travelers’ Choice™ awards for Family Hotels. Unlike any other hotel honors, TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice winners are based on millions of valuable reviews and opinions from travelers around the world.

Award winners were determined using an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of reviews from travelers on TripAdvisor gathered over a 12-month period with emphasis placed on reviews marked as a family stay.

“These Travelers’ Choice award-winners make it easier for parents to find that perfect hotel for their next family trip,” said Barbara Messing, chief marketing officer for TripAdvisor. “Travelers can enjoy a host of family-friendly amenities and activities that will keep everyone entertained, and without breaking the bank as these properties are bookable for an average of $219 per night on TripAdvisor.”

In the United States, TripAdvisor members voted two Orlando resorts at the top of their family-friendly list: Floridays and Staybridge Suites. Around the world, TripAdvisor lists hotels in Italy, Brazil and the Dominican Republic before getting to Costa Rica, where families can enjoy the Tulemar Bungalows and Villas at Manuel Antonio National Park.

The Tulemar resort is bookable on TripAdvisor for an average rate of $355 per night. Most affordable month to visit: September ($238).

This is hardly the first time that Tulemar and Manuel Antonio have been recognized by TripAdvisor as being among the best in the world. As previously reported by The Costa Rica Star, Manuel Antonio and its coastline have been selected among the best vacation spots in the world by TripAdvisor staff and members.
