The hotel chain Selina, which focuses on millennials and offers “hostel” style lodging, chose Costa Rica as the site to establish its first wellness center, Vida by Selina.

The 65- acre wellness center located about 1.5 hour drive from San Jose, is ideal to host retreats, events and festivals. The “pop-up” hotel offers 40 rooms with 5 meter glamping bell tents.

“Behind the growth (of Selina in Costa Rica), there is an intensive market study. This process has allowed us to identify in Costa Rica interesting aspects that influence the selection of the sites, for example, the sustainable culture of its communities, the richness and biodiversity of its nature, the possibility of combining these factors with adventure and relaxation”, explained Carlos Brenes, country manager of Selina.

The individual cost is of close to $100 a night which includes food packages and yoga workshops, the rate changes depending on the number of people in a group.
