Glamping “glamorous camping” is becoming more and more popular specially among young travelers looking for an experience that bring them closer to nature. Costa Rica has several options for glamping and luxury glamping, one of this last lodging options opened doors just close to a year back for private groups, but is now open to the public, Kinkára is part of the Coyuga Collection Hotels.

The beautiful glamping tents sit on 800 acres of land in Santa Elena, San Isidro de El General, Costa Rica’s Southern Zone, and they represent the first stage of a much larger project. The camp is build around a massive organic garden and it offers a place specially designed for meditation, music, yoga or healing work.

The organic garden is unique on its own, named “Mandala Garden” due to the fact that it is planted in the shape of a mandala, it is made up of 250 trees and abut 400 types of plants. The property also has a pond, home to Tilapia and a bee sanctuary.

“Beyond roaming the garden, activities at Kinkara include cacao ceremonies, gong ceremonies, culinary and kombucha brewing classes; sunrise and sunset yoga and meditation classes. There’s also waterfall and creek swimming on-site”, describes the press release.
The glamping camp is also very close to a number of different attractions, just as the Nauyuca Waterfall. There are also ATV excursions available, surf lessons, zip lining, among others.

Kinkara’s rate are based on season and tent type but start at $190 per night, the tents offer handcrafted wooden furniture, solar powered reading lights and even high speed Wi Fi.
