Saturday, November 24th at 00:19 a.m. the Turrialba Volcano had another important eruption, which you can appreciate in the video included in this note.

An impressive column of ash and incandescent material can be appreciated.

“The Turrialba Volcano maintains important eruptive activity, which went from frequent events during the morning and the beginning of the afternoon yesterday (Friday), to a more significant and constant emanation of ash beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday and that maintained through the morning hours of this Saturday with a variable volume of ash discharge. The column of ash during this morning reached 300 meters above the crater and it was dispersed by the winds towards the west-northwest according to the National Meteorology Institute and the images of the cameras of the National Seismology Network located at the peak of the volcano and different areas around it”, explained Dr.Mauricio M. Mora from the National Seismology Network.

The activity at Turrialba Volcano continued still in the late afternoon hours of this Satuday, with columns of ash that reach between 100 and 500 meters above the crater. The second video included below shows the activity at 4:10 p.m.
