This week should be a dilly in DC. Subpoenaed documents from the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are not being delivered to the U.S. House of Representatives investigating the role of DOJ and FBI during Campaign 2016, media leaks concerning Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into Trump-Russia campaign collusion are undermining his investigation, the U.S. Postal Service is losing billions to Amazon as Facebook is accused of selling millions of Facebook subscribers’ private information to advertisers and on and on — Washington is spinning like a top – and it’s all ‘under investigation.’

President Donald Trump is not pleased with his DOJ and FBI missing the Thursday deadline to turn over thousands of evidentiary documents related to the FBI’s decisions in the Hillary Clinton email investigation, alleged abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) and the recommendation to fire former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.

“Lawmakers of the House Judiciary Committee are angrily accusing the Department of Justice of missing the Thursday Deadline for turning over UNREDACTED Documents relating to FISA abuse, FBI, Comey, Lynch, MaCabe, Clinton emails and much more. Slow walking – what is going on? BAD!” — asked President Trump in a weekend Tweet. “What does the Department of Justice and FBI have to hide? Why are they not giving the strongly requested (unredacted) documents to the HOUSE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE? Stalling, but for what reason? Not looking good.”

FBI Director Christopher Wray issued a ‘Johnny-come-lately’ statement last week saying he was adding personnel in order to comply with the House Judiciary Committee’s subpoena. Sure sounds like a slow walk in a dark park late at night without a flashlight.

If that wasn’t enough controversy for one week in Washington, take a peek at this one. In a Washington Post story last week, Mueller was quoted as saying that President Trump was “not a target of the criminal investigation.” Really? The Post story went on to say that Mueller is “preparing a report about the president’s actions while in office and potential obstruction of justice.” Any obstruction of justice accusation surely would center on President Trump’s firing of former FBI Director James Comey – an action he was legally able to take. So what’s the beef?

New York Post writer Michael Goodwin questions where these continuing media leaks are actually coming from involving Mueller’s Trump-Russia probe that began in mid-2016. He also states the American people have been watching Mueller’s probe unfold on unverified TV-print-social media and internet news reports – with dubious sources — that could be all wrong.

“What does he have, where is he going and when is he going to get there? The point is the leaks are creating a reality all their own about the investigation and the president,” says Goodwin. “It’s time to clear the air of rumor and speculation and put the facts on the record. It’s not as if the public has been impatient.

“Although there have been indictments, nothing implicates Trump in wrongdoing. Yet even the hullabaloo about whether the president will agree to be interviewed is carried aloft by leaks. Has Mueller formally asked and has Trump formally declined? Who knows? Then there’s the question of whether Mueller believes he can indict a sitting president, or whether he can subpoena Trump to a grand jury. Again, Mueller is, publicly at least, silent.”

Mainstream media is all abuzz about Mueller interviewing President Trump and all the political commentators on both sides are in non-stop-verbal-assault mode. Coming out of all the chatter is an opinion that if President Trump is not under criminal investigation that he should not agree to any interview with Mueller – that essentially could be considered a ‘perjury trap.’

There’s a lot of legal commentators in mainstream media spewing much ‘legal jambalaya’ over whether or not Trump will testify under oath, be interviewed under oath or answer written questions or none of the three choices. The only person that can clear the air is Mueller who should issue his report and let the chips fall where they may – perhaps at Trump’s feet – just before the 2018 mid-term elections. The closer Mueller gets to November the more political he will become and his recommendations will not be seen as impartial.

When America’s conservative voters elected Donald Trump president in 2016 they knew they were hiring a ‘hit man’ in every sense to take on Establishment Washington and their ever-ongoing-business-as-usual while regular hard working Americans kept getting screwed by the establishment. Trump supporters don’t care what he says, how he says it or what he does as long as he keeps on positioning America First. Trump supporters also don’t give hoot how many people come and go in the Trump administration. If you can’t keep up with this whirlwind of a presidency than get off the Trump Train at the next stop or get thrown off.
