Washington’s Democrats are backed up in a corner with nowhere to go, no escape and no Plan B. It’s kinda like a NASCAR race – all the democratic driver’s know how to do is turn left – far-far left to a foreign land far, far away from the real America.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) continues to say “no” to any border wall funding let alone the $5.7-billion requested by President Donald Trump. The ensuing, ongoing partial government shutdown over additional border security measures continues into a second month.

President Trump has threatened declaring a “national emergency” but he still prefers opting for the U.S. Congress to step up and do its job for the greater good of the American people. This week the U.S. Senate is to approve a government funding bill – complete with border funding — that will go to the U.S. House for passage or failure. As it looks now the House will give ‘thumbs down’ to anything passed by the Senate to further fund the government and provide for the border funding. Whatever funding bill the House passes will need to go to the Senate but chances are it won’t even be presented to the Senate because President Trump would never sign it into law so why vote on something the president won’t sign?

What a mess the Democrats have created for themselves. If they pass government funding with border security they give in to President Trump.

To break the gridlock, President Trump should by all means declare a “national emergency” and obtain border wall funding by accessing funds from the U.S. Department of Defense which would then allow the Democrats and Republicans to pass government funding bills and reopen the government without approving any money for President Trump’s controversial border wall.

As Washington argues over government funding thousands upon thousands of illegal immigrants continue to pour into southern Mexico from Central American countries located north of Costa Rica – Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador.

According to conflicting news reports, Mexico is encouraging these illegals to apply for a 1-year work visa and stay in Mexico pending whatever happens at the northern border with the USA. But many refused the visa offer and are pressing on to the USA still in hopes of applying for asylum or entering illegally between legal ports-of-entry.

It is becoming increasingly imminent that President Trump will declare a “national emergency” but when would this happen? More than likely it would happen just before or during President Trump’s upcoming State-of-the-Union address set for the evening of Jan. 29 before a joint-session of Congress held in the chamber of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Speaker Pelosi asked President Trump to delay his State-of-the-Union address until after the government reopens, but that request appears to have fallen on deaf ears. News reports say the president is preparing two State-of-the-Union speeches – one at the traditional location at the Capital Building and another at a yet-to-be-announced location if that is needed due to Speaker Pelosi possible cancellation of the speech due to the political atmosphere with the Democrats obstructing President Trump at every turn.

State-of-the-Union speeches have been held in the House Chamber in Washington every year since 1913, but maybe not this year. If Washington becomes too toxic, President Trump very well may choose to outline his agenda for the coming year in the Statehouse of Michigan or North Carolina, according to news reports. Speakers from both Michigan and North Carolina House legislatures invited the president to hold his speech in their state.

One way or another there will be a State-of-the-Union address on Jan. 29 with or without Pelosi and her cronies. It’s overwhelmingly apparent that the Democrats don’t even want to be seen in the same room with President Trump. During last year’s speech all the Democrats did was sit on their hands – remember?
